Relines/Rebase
While they are not completely the same, relines and rebase procedures are both very common for denture wearers who notice their dentures are not fitting as comfortably as they should.
A reline is essentially the process of adding additional material to the base of your dentures to help it fit snug and comfortable. A rebase is a little more extensive, replacing the base of your dentures all together.
Aging, wear and tear, weight gain or loss and bone shrinkage are all common reasons for these repairs, both of which we can provide to patients at Oak Denture Centre.
Custom Fit Mouthguard
From sports to bruxism (the medical condition more commonly known as teeth grinding), there are numerous reasons why you may require a mouthguard. To improve your comfort and ensure every tooth is being properly protected, we will customize your mouthguard to perfectly fit your mouth.
Whether you are looking for something to serve as a nightly protection against grinding or just something to last the hockey season, we are here to help you.
Denture Cleaning
There is nothing wrong with wanting to give your smile a boost. While many of us do our best to care for our teeth, yellowing is a natural process that unfortunately affects everyone, especially those with habits like smoking and frequently drinking stain-prone liquids like coffee and wine. If you are tired of trying potentially damaging drugstore products for cleaning dentures that doesn’t seem to work, call today to book our denture cleaning services. Not only will you see a brighter, cleaner and healthier smile, but you will also know that you are not using any harmful chemicals to get it done.
House Calls
At Oak Denture Centre, our goal is to help patients from all backgrounds love their smiles again. This means that we are always willing to meet people where they are at– even if that location has to be at home.
Many patients who are elderly or experience limited mobility prefer home visits, and we respect that decision. If you want to see a denturist, but are not comfortable or able to make an in-person visit, call us and we can discuss your options for care at home.
Soft Liners
It is completely normal to need some time to adjust to your new dentures. However, if you are experiencing discomfort or difficulties eating or speaking, it might be a sign that you need some adjustments.
Soft liners are an easy solution that helps many patients. They are soft layers of material that line the space between your mouth and dentures. This will absorb the shock between your dentures and gums, improving comfort and making chewing easier, especially if you have a history of receding gums.
The best part is that soft liners can be retrofitted to your current dentures, making it a fairly straightforward fix.
Implant Supported Dentures
Every patient should be able to enjoy the benefits of dentures, although some struggle with traditional dentures. For example, not every patient has enough of a gumline for dentures to rest on, or teeth in the jaw to support dentures either.
In these circumstances, patients may benefit from implant-supported alternatives to traditional dentures. Your dentist will surgically attach implants that are typically shaped like a ball or metal bar, which are used to comfortably support dentures.
If you have been concerned that traditional dentures are not the best option for you, call us to book a consultation to explore the option of implant-supported dentures.
Removable Overdentures
Missing teeth are much more than an aesthetic barrier. When you are missing some or all teeth, you are at risk of many health problems, including the shifting of your remaining teeth, bone loss and chronic pain.
Overdentures are one option that can help you avoid these preventable issues, and return to eating, speaking and smiling as you usually do. Overdentures can be supported by either natural teeth or implants, allowing every patient to enjoy their benefits regardless of their medical history.
